Mulualem Tigabu，博士，瑞典农业恒峰体育森林管理与造林学教授；1992年获得埃塞俄比亚Alemaya恒峰体育林学学士学位；1996年6月获得瑞典农业科学恒峰体育硕士学位；2003年5月获瑞典农业恒峰体育造林学博士学位。在PlantPhysiology、New Forest、Forests、Trees、Landscape Research等林业主流期刊发表SCI文章100余篇，担任《New Forests》、《Open Journal of Forestry》、《Tropical Ecology》、《Journal of Plant Chemistry and Ecophysiology》、《Journal of Forestry Research》等国际期刊的副主编和编委会成员。
报告内容简介：
Near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) is well-established analytical technique to determine the chemical and physico-chemical properties of a wide range of biomaterials. The seminar will discuss theories and principles of NIRS and provide four case studies on its application in forest research: analysis of seed quality, application in tree improvement studies, nutritional studies in wildlife and applications in forest soil studies. The seminar will provoke thoughts among researchers at NEFU for possible application of this highly versatile technique in their research.
