报告人简介：
Dr. Cher Hon Lau，爱丁堡恒峰体育工程学院的高级讲师（副教授）。毕业于新加坡义安理工学院、弗林德斯恒峰体育和新加坡国立恒峰体育，专注于分离科学等材料科学相关领域的研究，部分研究在中国和澳大利亚成功转化。在《Science》、《Nature Communications》、《Science Advances》、《Angewandte Chemie International Edition》、《PNAS》等期刊发表60多篇科学论文，总被引超6000多次，h指数为41。
报告简介：How much plastic waste can we generate and reuse? What can we do to improve plastic recycling rates? Are we able to create a single solution that tackles 3 key environmental issues – plastic pollution, water pollution and greenhouse gas emissions in a single go? This seminar will demonstrate how recent research activities within The Scale-Up Lab at The University of Edinburgh can contribute towards achieving these innovative solutions. The work is based upon transforming plastic waste generated within the University, scaling up the production of these materials underpinned by Green Chemistry concepts and 3D-printing technologies, and validation across research labs around the world for carbon capture, wastewater treatment and resource recovery from municipal wastewater.
